My only riding since the crash has been commuting on the basket bike that I put together for trips to whole foods. It rides great even though the commute takes a few minutes longer.
Linz and I had a wedding shower last weekend and both families came in to town for it. I also got a knock on my door saturday morning and I opened it to see my best man standing there. I had no idea he was coming and I can't imagine the look on my face when I opened the door. The shower was amazing and it was a great weekend with friends and family, however sunday night I finally got some much needed sleep.
Tonight I am hoping to get in a ride on the touring bike. I need to get in some mileage on that bike before we head to South Carolina and that trip is creeping up quickly.

Cuts And Bruises
2010 Mileage: 2000
Well the ride to Piermont went great up until about two miles north of the bridge on 9w.. I'm fine other than a few cuts and bruises, but my road bike and some lady's windshield both will need replacing. The cops found her at fault but I am curious if I'll ever manage to get a dime of insurance money for a new bike. Walked it back over the GWB in the full kit with road shoes on getting funny looks the whole way. Subway to work and then rode the mountain bike home. I decided that was a good enough reason to take most of the day off. I guess it is time to start racking up some miles on the Ferrous. Pictures will follow when I get the bike back from police evidence.

Riding With Per Again
2010 Mileage: 1944
Monday I got in a good 60 mile ride to Nyack and I felt pretty good. Last night I was planning to ride after work but Luca swung by and a few beers and conversation led to more beers and it was great catching up with him. Tonight Per and I did some catching up after his nine days away in Madison, Wisconsin, although instead of over beers, it was on the bike putting in 3 laps in the park. Tomorrow morning Per and I have a Piermont ride planned to go grab coffee at Bunbury's before work in the morning. Hopefully we make it back in time to open the shop.

Back on the Bike
2010 Mileage: 1843
Well a lot has happened since my last post. A crazy four days in Vegas with the boys for my bachelor party followed by about a week that it took me to actually recover. Then a night at the veterinary hospital with Leo which turned out to just be a scare and my little man is just fine. The past week was spent busy between time in the shop (Per headed out of town so I was in for nine straight days) and time back in the saddle. I bumped the mileage back up with a few morning rides out to the palisades in Jersey before work and laps in the park after. About to head out for a ride with no real goal in mind... I'll see where the road takes me.
